| MI5 The Secret Agents were formed in 1991
to enable players connected with the Surveyors Softball League to enter
tournaments and take part in the Greater London Mixed League. As the team progressed and its reputation as a competitive but fun team grew, so has interest in playing for and against them. Secret Agents is now one of the oldest established softball clubs in the U.K.... if not the oldest! Secret Agents won Div 3 in 1994 and have won Div 2 twice between 1995 and 2001. Since 2002 the Secret Agents 1st team "Mi5" have held it's place in Division 1, improving their league position each year since 2002. 1995 saw the inception of the second team "MI6" and in 1997 the Indoor team was called "FBI" and the Ladies team called 'The Pussy Galores' (and the ladies chose it themselves) "Secret Agents Mi5" - which is our premier midweek side, normally plays on Tuesdays at home and Wed/ Thursday for our away matches. Nowadays the "Mi5" squad comprises of both Comp A and B players making them a force to be reckoned with. Read more about Mi5... Our sister team "Secret Agents Mi6" are currently in GLSML Division 3. The standard is still reasonably competitive and have a fun bunch of players. Read more about Mi6... We are in the process expanding Secret Agents Softball Club by creating a 3rd team which will be our rookie team (Mi7?) for next year. All the midweek teams are based in the Earlsfield/Wandsworth area. We rent our own ground which includes a clubhouse, changing rooms & bar area....making us one of the few teams that have those kind of facilities in London. |
